Senior Awards Night

Scholarship and Awards Night

May 2025 - This is one of our favorite nights of the year!  We come together with members of the community to recognize and honor all the scholarship recipients.  The LTHS 205 Foundation offers numerous scholarships for both 4-year college bound students as well as students going to a 2 year college or trade school.  The foundation also oversees numerous scholarships that have been established by local families and/or businesses.  It is a joy to be able to assist our students in achieving their post secondary educational goals.  Scholarship applications can be found in the students' SchooLinks account.

William and Mildred Jackson Award

William and Mildred Jackson Award

May 2025 - The William and Mildred Jackson Teacher Recognition Award annually honors a teacher who has exhibited special skills in the art and science of teaching, as a co curricular moderator or as a coach. LTHS alumni Robert and Jill (Jackson) Carr donated this award, which is named after Mrs. Carr’s late parents. William Jackson was a beloved Science Department teacher as well as a golf and track coach at LTHS from 1958 to 1982. Mr. Jackson passed away in 2001.  The award is given annually to an individual who serves as a role model and displays compassion for students as well as his/her peers at LTHS. The award consists of a special award symbolizing excellence as well as a cash award for the winner.  “There are many teachers who quietly impact the lives of students through acts of kindness. Hopefully, we can shed some light on these individuals so they can be an example to their peers as well as the community,” Mrs. (Jackson) Carr stated.  A staff member is only eligible to win this prestigious award once.

Golden Key Award

Golden Key Award

May 2025 - The Golden Key Award was presented by the LTHS baseball team as a surprise at the May 28, 2024 LTHS all-employee meeting. The baseball team and coaches expressed their gratitude for having Friebel as their bus driver to all of their baseball games and shared a sense of pride and appreciation that Friebel would attend their home and away games on his days off.

“The LTHS Foundation decided to add the Golden Key Award this year as it became undeniably clear that our district has the most amazing bus drivers! With the need to extend bus routes and ask our bus drivers to work longer routes and longer hours - this team of amazing professionals stepped up to the plate and made sure all our students were able to come to school with as little disruption as possible. Our school district simply could not function without this wonderful group of people dedicated to our students. We always want our bus drivers to know they play a key role in our students' education - and we hope the Golden Key Award reminds them of this!” said Angela Adolf, Director of Development and Foundation.
