The monthly Board of Education meeting was held last night which the Board recognized student achievements, student board members, building and district administration members concluding their careers at LTHS, and their initial discussion about the community survey report focusing on the district's facilities. The survey report is available here for your convenience, https://5il.co/2p1nx.
The final report includes an analysis gathered from the post-referendum Community Survey conducted by the data analytics company, Innovate K12. The Community Survey garnered a total of 694 responses and 995 total scans were generated from the QR code that was included in the direct mailer which was mailed out to homes in late May. The participation from individuals who completed the survey provided written responses to two open-ended questions. These results show an indication that our district communication is received and it shows an interest in community engagement. Using these results as guidance to plan for in-person focus groups and work on future surveys will serve as a resource for future decisions that the Board will make.
In July, the Board plans to read the survey results in-depth and have a deeper discussion at their regular monthly Board meeting.
The monthly board meetings are live streamed and available on the district's YouTube channel. To watch last night's board meeting visit, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-huzFylQDlQ
Thank you for your continued engagement as our Board makes important decisions regarding our facilities, their future, and opportunities for our students.
