Proofs of Residency

Three (3) Proofs of Residency Required

The legal guardian of the student must provide three (3) proofs of residency. All documents must be current (within the past 30 days) and include parent/guardian name with your District 205 address. Leases are not accepted. A student’s address is the same as the person who has legal custody of the student. To guard your security, please block out account numbers and social security numbers on the documents before you upload a copy of them.

Acceptable CATEGORY A Documents

  • Valid Driver's License with current address

  • Valid State ID with current address

Acceptable CATEGORY B Documents

  • Mortgage documents

  • Current property tax bill

  • Current utility bill (Must be dated within the last 30 days)

    • Gas

    • Water

    • Electric

    • Garbage

    • Cable

    • Phone

  • Current homeowners/renters insurance bill

  • Current auto insurance

I AM UNABLE TO PROVIDE ALL THREE PROOFS OF RESIDENCY

MUST PROVIDE ONE OF THESE

AND DEPOSIT

  • Valid Driver's License with current address

  • Valid State ID with current address

  • Fully executed purchase agreement with an approximate closing date

  • Fully executed residency sales contract without unsatisfied contingencies

Deposit of $315.00 for non-residents to prove further residency. An additional tuition payment to cover the next month will be required if occupancy is not acquired within 30 days of the 1st day of school attendance.

Please Note: Per Illinois School Code, families not able to provide proof of residency within the 30-day grace period will be required to withdraw from LTHS and enroll in the school district in which they reside

If you prove residency within the 30-day grace period under Category B in the green section above, your $315.00 deposit will be used toward payment of the annual school fees. If residency is not proven in the 30-day grace period, the deposit is non-refundable and you will receive another bill for tuition payment and a bill for payment of school fees.
